Dear friends,

Go ahead and pour yourself a cup of coffee, this one may take a while, but I just can’t leave anything out.

Last night I was deep in the Word, reflecting on of the moment when Moses stood on Mount Nebo, gazing at the Promised Land. In that moment, though he could not enter, Moses saw the fulfillment of God’s promises to His people. He had spent a lifetime leading, teaching, and trusting in God’s plan, and now, from the mountain, he could look upon the land that would be given to the next generation. This moment of divine fulfillment resonates with my heart as I lead the ministry of Dear Dinah. I am truly humbled and blessed to witness the Lord’s promises unfold before me through the lives of those we serve. His promises are indeed “Yes and Amen,” and I stand in awe of the work He is doing through our ministry. I am honored to be part of what He is doing here, and I thank you for joining us in this journey.

March: A Month of Prevention and Awareness

We didn’t know it, but God ordained this month to be one of deep significance as we have focused on speaking into the preventative side of fighting human trafficking. Our month was busy with opportunities to engage in multiple trainings, particularly focusing on the most vulnerable of our society—our children.

We had the privilege of speaking to the students of Community STE(A)M Academy in Xenia, Ohio. These students were working on their own tiny home projects and had the opportunity to tour our tiny home to learn more about our initiative to care for survivors of human trafficking. We also shared important information with them about the realities of human trafficking and how they can be part of the solution. It was an inspiring and insightful time that left a lasting impact on both the students and our team.

In addition to this, we were able to provide human trafficking and internet safety training for the students of Cedarville Middle and High School. The response from these students confirmed what we already knew—our children are under attack in ways we couldn’t have imagined when we were their age. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of having these difficult but necessary conversations. I humbly ask for your prayers over our children, that they may be protected and equipped to navigate the dangers that lurk in today’s digital world.

Serving Together for a Greater Impact

This month, members of our team also participated in the annual SOAP event, which helps to distribute soap bars with information about the National Human Trafficking Hotline to local hotels and motels. This simple yet powerful gesture can help victims of trafficking find a lifeline, and we are grateful for the community efforts that continue to raise awareness and fight for the freedom of those still held in trafficking and exploitation.

We also had the incredible privilege of hosting the Chi Alpha group from the University of Dayton and Wright State University here at Selah. This amazing crew spent their spring break with us, preparing the land for the future pole barn that will be crucial to the building of our future tiny homes. I can’t express how much we appreciate the hearts and hands of these students who dedicated their time and energy to furthering the mission of Dear Dinah.

And speaking of tiny homes, we received exciting news this month—a third donation for one of our tiny homes! This generous gift moves us closer to our goal of five tiny homes, a crucial step in the Phase One of our building project at Selah. This is a significant milestone, and we are so grateful for your support in helping us reach this point.

Engaging the Next Generation in the Fight Against Human Trafficking

On the 20th of this month, I had the honor of joining our partners with the Human Trafficking Task Force and Homeland Security to participate in a panel discussion at Cedarville University. The students engaged deeply with the heavy topics discussed, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating a genuine desire to bring the light of Jesus into the fight against human trafficking. It was incredibly encouraging to see this next generation rising up as a mighty force for the Kingdom of God.

Another highlight was the opportunity to provide human trafficking training for the workers at Women’s Centers of Ohio in collaboration with the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. The team at Women’s Centers of Ohio blessed me with their hearts for the women they serve, and I am grateful for their commitment to justice, care, and the love of Christ.

And can I just say…

It is crucial to remember that awareness is key in the fight against human trafficking. Each of us is uniquely created to contribute to this cause, whether through prayer, action, or service. When we are aware of the issues surrounding trafficking, we become empowered to fight for change. Let us continue to open our eyes to the world around us, knowing that we can each make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A Look Into the Victory House

I want to take a moment to share with you a few precious moments from our Victory House. This month, we were blessed to bear witness. We witnessed the shouts of joy ringing from the bathroom as one of our guests finally fit into the pair of jeans brought in by a volunteer—the fifth attempt to find a pair that fit her and made her feel comfortable. We witnessed the sincere gratitude also we celebrated an impromptu birthday for one of our homeless sisters, a birthday which would have otherwise gone unnoticed. We witnessed the victories of women making the hour+ walk to our front door in order to enter in. Enter into a space where they know they will experience the profound comfort of being known and loved within the safety of our home. The Victory House continues to be a place of security, healing, and transformation. Women are opening their hearts to the Gospel, and we are so blessed to be part of this journey with them.

Thank You for Your Continued Support

As we close out this busy month, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, prayers, and commitment to the ministry of Dear Dinah. Your partnership is vital in helping us bring light into the darkest places, claim the victory held by our Savior, and take ground in the fight against human trafficking.

With gratitude and blessings,

About SGC

The Demonic & Spiritual side of human trafficking needs to be emphasized more. Many organizations are doing a yeoman’s work in awareness, restoration of victims, and interdiction of perpetrators. Saving God’s Children is going the extra step to provide training and a plan of action to take on the Spiritual component. By encouraging Holy Spirit Filled Christians to get involved in the Spiritual Battle of reclaiming the ground and communities from the forces of darkness that have been taken over by witchcraft and demonic entities where they live in. This emphasis on adding Spiritual Warfare to the action plan in helping to eradicate child and human trafficking, distinguishes SGC from the others involved in this noble cause.
