A 13-Year-Old Detroit Black Girl is Missing. Police Say a Serial Pedophile May Be Behind It

October 4, 2024

Nine months have passed since 13-year-old Harris was last seen. Detroit police arrested a suspect in connection with her disappearance, but the details of what else he allegedly did to her makes the case even more disturbing.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Harris, a seventh grader at J.E. Clark Preparatory Academy, was last seen getting off her bus on Jan 9. on the eastside of Detroit, per a press conference Thursday. The only clues as to where she vanished stemmed from text messages between her and 41-year-old Jarvis Butts, a man who had relations with her aunt. Prosecutors said messages suggest when Na’Ziyah got off the bus, she met Butts at his auto repair shop.

About SGC

The Demonic & Spiritual side of human trafficking needs to be emphasized more. Many organizations are doing a yeoman’s work in awareness, restoration of victims, and interdiction of perpetrators. Saving God’s Children is going the extra step to provide training and a plan of action to take on the Spiritual component. By encouraging Holy Spirit Filled Christians to get involved in the Spiritual Battle of reclaiming the ground and communities from the forces of darkness that have been taken over by witchcraft and demonic entities where they live in. This emphasis on adding Spiritual Warfare to the action plan in helping to eradicate child and human trafficking, distinguishes SGC from the others involved in this noble cause.

Operation “Seek and Ye Shall Find Out”: A Record-Breaking Undercover Sting

In July 2025, a record-breaking child predator sting in Marion County, Florida led to 48 arrests and 153 charges after undercover officers posed as children online. Many suspects attempted to meet who they thought were minors through platforms like Snapchat—only to be met by law enforcement. Sheriff Billy Woods urged parents to stay vigilant about their children’s online activity, warning that predators are actively seeking them out. This historic operation is a reminder that predators are everywhere, but so are protectors. As a community, we must remain alert, educate our children, and continue standing against those who seek to harm them.
