Pennsylvania State Police say they received a call on August 3 from the Hagerstown Police Department advising they located a missing 14-year-old girl. Police say the child had been taken from her Maryland home by Jeremy Spikes Jr., 27, of Hagerstown, and brought into Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He’s accused of raping the child at an unknown hotel in Franklin County. State Police say an arrest warrant was issued for Spikes Jr. after conducting interviews and neighborhood canvasses. Troopers also used automated license plate readers as part of their investigation. Spikes Jr. is facing multiple felony charges, including trafficking in individuals, rape – forcible compulsion, and aggravated indecent assault. Spikes Jr. was taken into custody in Maryland on August 5 and is pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
