Michael—known online as Schlep—is a 22-year-old survivor of grooming on Roblox who has turned his trauma into a mission. After nearly losing his own life, he dedicated himself to exposing predators on the platform in hopes of safeguarding other children. Over the past year, his sting operations have contributed to the arrest of six predators, some of whom openly identified as “minor-attracted persons.” His detailed evidence, including binders of chat logs, was submitted to both law enforcement and Roblox’s own headquarters in California (WorldNetDaily).

Despite these efforts, Roblox took drastic action: they permanently banned every account associated with Schlep and issued him a cease‑and‑desist, accusing him of creating a “platform risk” and engaging in “simulated child engagement conversations” while sharing personally identifiable information (WorldNetDaily, The Times of India, PC Gamer).

Why This Matters

Roblox is one of the most popular gaming platforms for children: with over 85 million daily active users, around 60% are under the age of 16, and nearly half are younger than 12 (WorldNetDaily, Wikipedia).

Schlep’s work revealed how predators can exploit the platform’s weaknesses. Yet instead of collaborating with him, Roblox chose to penalize him—raising crucial questions:

  • Are corporate policies sometimes misaligned with child protection?
  • Do platforms bear a responsibility to work constructively with independent advocates when their systems fail?
  • How can we ensure safety without stifling proactive efforts?

Call to Action

For Parents and Guardians:

  • Be vigilant. Recognize that even popular, seemingly safe platforms can harbor threats.
  • Educate children. Talk openly about online boundaries and encourage them to report anything suspicious.

For Platforms and Policy Makers:

  • Collaborate with trusted advocates and experts—even when methods are imperfect.
  • Strengthen transparency and response processes for predator reports.
  • Prioritize child safety above PR or procedural rigidity.

For the Broader Community:

  • Support or create initiatives like Schlep’s that aim to expose dangers and hold platforms accountable.
  • Engage lawmakers and regulators to consider how tech platforms handle child safety.

This incident underscores the urgency of protecting children in digital spaces. Schlep’s story is not just about one YouTuber—it’s a symbol of the need for systemic change.

About SGC

The Demonic & Spiritual side of human trafficking needs to be emphasized more. Many organizations are doing a yeoman’s work in awareness, restoration of victims, and interdiction of perpetrators. Saving God’s Children is going the extra step to provide training and a plan of action to take on the Spiritual component. By encouraging Holy Spirit Filled Christians to get involved in the Spiritual Battle of reclaiming the ground and communities from the forces of darkness that have been taken over by witchcraft and demonic entities where they live in. This emphasis on adding Spiritual Warfare to the action plan in helping to eradicate child and human trafficking, distinguishes SGC from the others involved in this noble cause.
